Visiting the Farm in PA

We arrived in PA on Friday. The weather is beautiful and the girlies have been busy with the horses, kittens, fourwheelers, and tree swing! The farm house has been in the Lindley family for 8 generations. The girlies and I have sat on the porch thinking about all the Lindleys that have lived in this home. Grandma has a picture on her wall with the family sitting on the porch and yard taken in 1883. Amazing! Abby loves the tree swing. In fact everything she does or eats is compared to the tree swing. Kirk took the girlies on the fourwheeler to pick raspberries and when Abby was eating them she told me "these are so so so good...as good as the tree swing".

Pappy saddled up Jill the horse for some riding in the arena. Some of these horses were just colts when we were here 2 years ago. Pappy has about 35 horses on the farm.

Pappy hooked up this wagon to the fourwheeler and pulled us down to the pond he had made last fall. He has a paddle boat and built a dock. It is beautiful!

The girlies are waiting for their cousins to get home from the beach. After traveling the day before, we enjoyed a quiet 4th with a cookout.

Kirk has taken Kaitlyn and Marissa to the cemetary to practice driving. We figured they couldn't kill anyone there! Kaitlyn can get get her license in 6 months so she better start practicing. She was pleasantly surprised with her dad's driving instructions..."he was so calm and patient, he only screamed BRAKES when Marissa was backing up and almost hit a tomb stone". They both did great but Marissa is now focusing on the fourwheeler.
We are all enjoying spending some time with Grandma and Pappy.

Is it really June?

So the girlies have been out of school for 3 weeks now and we haven't been swimming once! After the third straight rainy day, I sent Tessa to the neighbors to get a movie. We popped popcorn and pretended it was the Fall. The flowers in our yard have loved the rain, but we are DONE and ready for summer!

Where do I start...

I can't count the number of times I have tried to start this blog. Every time I sit down someone needs something. Wasn't it just yesterday I wrote in our Christmas letter...check out our blog Jan. 1! Well, I will post some pictures of the last six months and call it good.
